Learn Bagua Basics with Ollie
There is so much to learn within the Bagua Zhang syllabus so I thought it important to stream the basics regularly. The ‘Bagua Basics’ (as I have called them), are actually known as ‘The Basic Hand Methods’, they are the first movements taught in our Baguazhang system to help with timing, coordination, and improving structure alignment and strength.
These training methods are quite old but work well to really test your skill. Movements are practised whilst standing square and require shifting weight in combinations of using your arms, shoulders, hips, legs and feet.
Bagua Basics are great for all ages and they happen to be one of the training methods that can stay with you into old age, that is why I’d recommend seniors to learn these as exercises to help you improve you health or keep you healthy and strong. Don’t be turned off these Bagua training methods if you are interested in learning about fighting applications or learning how to protect yourself. Hidden within these movements are an array of fighting applications that can be used to intercept, strike or turn an opponent.
If you are interested or have any questions regarding the Bagua Basics please head over to the contact page to ask me there, I will get back to you as soon as possible.
